Established in Spain in 1962, Lois is the first European jeans brand that conquered the world. In the 70s Lois became favourite jeans label of legends such as Abba, Björn Borg, James Hunt and Johan Cruyff. Soon, young people all over the world recognized the quality and excellent fit. Nowadays, Lois is still proud, going strong, and still made in Spain. From their headquarters, they spread the proud Lois feeling over the world.
Be proud of who you are with Lois, wrapped in delicious jeans.
The first important part of the process was to create a brand and product not built on the history of cowboys and horses, but create a fun pair of jeans that found its birth on the dance floor. These jeans would not be built on function, but on fashion. This was felt largely in 1979, when Lois was born by the fashion elite and famous people from the music, fashion and sports worlds. But what happened in the early 90s? Why did they disappear? Well the answer is simpler than you think. The economy!
In the early 90s, Spain took a blow to its economy. Where other brands could move their production to more affordable countries, Lois jeans didn’t have that possibility. The brand therefore hit a bad spall and had to downsize to keep the company going. But now Lois is back in the same form with sales and marketing done by the Dutch and the production done in Spain.
